Daniel Duran of Shelbyville, Indiana, graduated from Ball State University in 1990 before attending Logan College of Chiropractic, where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1993. He formed his own practice, Duran Chiropractic, where he invested the first 25 years of his career helping improve patients’ lives using his training. In 1995 he furthered his training by earning a board certification in Spinal Trauma, and in 2015 was named the Shelbyville News Chiropractor of the Year.
While Daniel Duran enjoyed his time as a chiropractor, he eventually discovered a new interest that would change the course of his career. He acquired an interest in real estate and renovations, and as he continued to research and learn more, he decided to give it a try. In 2010, he started buying his first apartment properties, most of which were run-down. Initially, his plan was to flip the properties and resell them for profit. However, as time passed, he realized the value of renting them out for passive income and decided to keep most of them in his name. This was the beginning of Signature Property Group, which he continues to own and manage today.
Still running his chiropractic office full-time, Daniel Duran of Shelbyville continued to grow his portfolio, channeling his free time into fixing up properties and marketing them to local renters. In 2018 he began buying residential homes in addition to the apartments he already had, branching out his portfolio to reach new audiences. By 2019, it became clear to Daniel that this was his passion, and he stepped away from his chiropractic work to focus on real estate investing full-time.
Shelbyville’s Daniel Duran loves what he does. He enjoys taking old, dated properties, breathing new life into them, and then inviting local residents to call them home. When he isn’t busy updating a new property, though, Daniel spends his time sharing this passion with others. He enjoys helping other people learn the ins and outs of real estate investing, from finding good deals to going through the renovation process. Several of his friends have enjoyed learning from his experience, and he is always willing to share what he has learned over the years.

Daniel is grateful for his tenants and enjoys sharing his properties with local families. One of Daniel Duran’s favorite things about working in real estate investing is that he is able to give back to his community by restoring run-down properties and turning them into excellent homes for people who need them. Daniel is incredibly passionate about community and is always looking for new ways to give back. He has been an active member of Shelbyville Community Church for over 20 years now and is involved in their Celebrate Recovery program, which provides community and support for people struggling with addictions.
